On the Cancer Page you will find an online diary (called Dancing with the Dragon) covering my diagnosis, treatment, surgery, recovery and a several year post-cancer period in my life. The diary was written to keep family and friends apprised of our Dance. I leave it online because I have been active in several cancer web and FaceBook pages and many people have expressed an appreciation of its content.
You will also find a section called Notes. These are short pieces I have written on those various web and FB pages. I am not a doctor, so anything medical I write (which I try to avoid!) should be read with that understanding.
The two sections in Astronomy cover information about the old Celestron 8" Schmidt-Cass telescopes and my attempt to build a motorized GOTO system for my 16" StarMaster Dobsonian telescope. These are the old sections of the page and the photos taken were done with a 1.3mp digital camera. The GOTO section is left unfinished. I was diagnosed with cancer right after I took the scope out for initial, and partially successful, testing. More than a year later, I tore everything back off in order to use the scope manually again.
The Photography section contains a couple JAlbum photo albums. The Misc. Photos is a repository for photos I have posted to the web over the years. I expect to be adding images to the Travel and Things album in the immediate future.
Rhodes is the name of the high school from which I graduated. This is a small fan page for the long closed school.
Lou is a place my brother-in-law, Lou Varga, wanted to post some of his writings. He is looking at putting up his own page and the offerings here are few, but interesting.
